Children Training :
The overall aim of the course is to prepare participants to introduce health promotion in and beyond classrooms into schools and communities. The course will also be practical and include field visits in schools. The course will be facilitated by a team of experienced national and international experts in the field of school health promotion.

Who is the Course For?
There are many hundreds of programmers that use the Child-to-Child approach in 70 countries worldwide. This course is designed for those who are interested in school health promotion and is therefore suited to those who have experiences, qualifications or interest in the areas of health, education and development. Professionals in children’s health and education and in community development programmers derive inspiration through international short courses such as this, which catalyze and strengthen Child-to-Child and other health and development initiatives worldwide.

Computer Training :
Children at Dominics World are capable of using computers. With the present level of pervasive nature of computers, it will be a great boon if the children are trained in the use of computers. In fact, some of them can express themselves only through such an assistive device. With this end in view, computer training had been introduced in a small way for more than a year. Further modifications will be carried out and software installed based on the actual need as training progresses. About 50 children have been assessed to be capable of benefiting by training in use of computers. Computer classes have now been built into their timetables.

Well, we all know that people are living longer. You may say ‘So what, we’ll just be dependent for longer’. But this is not true. Research tells us that there has been also a marked reduction in the period of dependency of one’s last few years. In other words, we are living longer, healthier and more independently! We have more time to accomplish personal goals.
The Dominics World is here:
  • To foster aged care research
  • To develop the aged care health workforce through interdisciplinary teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • To promote health education for the benefit of older people
  • To advocate for aged care services
  • To help the elderly
